Do you ever wonder why children have so much more energy than us grown folks? It may be because they occasionally run around outside barefoot. There's new studies on an ancient old way of life called earthing.

Earthing is walking, standing, sitting, or laying on the ground outside to allow the earth's energy to flow into your body. Take your shoes off an let earth's energy in. Ages ago, people walked around barefoot and slept on the ground. Whereas today's society, technology is at every turn; in your home, workplace, cafes, restaurants. Almost everywhere you go, there is wi-fi. We carry our cell phone in our pocket and on our belt. All of these technological items drain you of your natural energy and make you feel fatigued, as well as cause irregular sleeping patterns. In addition to technology, we wear rubber-soled shoes to which block the natural energy from the earth. In today's world people are generally disconnected from the earth. Earthing may help improve these ailments by reconnecting you to the earth.
Before you think I'm crazy, try it. Just walking barefoot on the grass, sand, dirt or concrete for thirty minutes on a regular basis will improve your energy throughout the day, improve sleeping patterns, and overall give you a more positive outlook on life. Earthing may decrease inflammation, chronic pain, stress, and depression. Always consult with your doctor or physician before starting any home remedy.

Other suggestions for reducing fatigue would be to not carry your cell phone on you, turn off your wi-fi in your home when not in use and wear shoes made from natural materials. If you only have rubber soled shoes, spend more time out of them and on the earth.
Enjoy the simplicity of earthing and reconnecting with the earth. Enjoy your time outside in the fresh air with the earth beneath you.

I LOVE to be outside barefoot in the summer. It just feels young! I'm visiting you today from the Harvest of Friends hop.
